About Special Events/Fundraisers
Special events are one of the ways Big Brothers Big Sisters funds our programs. Below is a description of all the events taking place throughout the year.
February – Bowl for Kids’ Sake
This is a fundraiser that anyone can do! Get four or five friends together and start a bowling team. Each team is asked to commit to raising $500 on behalf of Big Brothers Big Sisters by asking family, friends, co-workers, etc. to donate to the team. Bowl-a-thon days are scheduled at Professor Bowl West on Fridays and Saturdays, and teams are invited to participate to celebrate the money raised by all the teams.
May – Fiesta for a Cause
We’re bringing together hundreds of community members to Fiesta for a Cause. It’s a Fiesta to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters. The event includes a live band, dancing, silent and live auction, and great fun!

June – Big Night Out
This fun summer party is entertaining and an easy way to support a great cause. Successful singles volunteer to create an outing and be auctioned off to the highest bidder. A silent auction, DJ and dancing, along with food and drinks make this an event you do not want to miss.

August - Toast & Roast
This event takes place at the Doubletree Hotel and includes a reception, dinner, live auction, silent auction, and program. Each year a different honoree is selected by a committee and four of his/her closest friends Toast & Roast him/her during the evening. Toast & Roast is the organization’s largest fundraiser of the year.
