Bigs of the Year Announced
Recognized at Annual Luncheon
Each year volunteers are nominated and selected as Big of the Year for the site and community programs at Big Brothers Big Sisters.  We appreciate each and every volunteer's committment to the children we serve.  The following individuals were recognized as outstanding volunteers at our annual lunch held during National Volunteer Week in April.

We would like to thank Golden Corral for donating the food, North Little Rock Chamber for supplying the location for our lunch, and students from Booker Arts Magnet for providing entertainment at the luncheon.

3rd Annual Singles Auction a Success
 
Thanks to AY Magazine, Alice 107.7, Big League, volunteers, host committee members, and singles for another successful singles auction that raised money for Big Brothers Big Sisters.  
 
We are already gearing up and planning the 2011 event.  Be sure you are a part of this fun party next year.  The evening included a silent auction, singles auction, and DJ for dancing.
 
        
Catholic High Students Raise Money for Bigs and Littles 
 
In the spring the young men of Catholic High School participated in a homeroom competition and raised over $1000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters.  The winning homeroom received a pizza party and particiated in a Wii Tennis tournament during their lunch. 
 
Catholic High has been in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters since 2006 and provides the most high school Bigs to our site-based program.

Alphas, Kappas, and Omegas Step Up
 
 
 
 
Big Brothers Big Sisters has been in partnership with Alpha Phi Alpha for several years. We are proud to announce the Kappa Alpha Psi and Omega Psi Phi Fraternities are joining in a local partnership to support mentoring in Central Arkansas and assist in finding positive male role models for the many boys on our wating list.  Please share this great news with fraternity members so they can find out how to be involved.
