Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas was excited to match Big Brother Dalton with Little Brother Josh
One of the first things that BBBSCA Match Support Specialist Currie Larrimer noted when making a match between Dalton and Josh was Dalton’s eagerness to positively impact a child’s life as a mentor. After hearing about Big Brothers Big Sister of Central Arkansas from a friend, he knew that he wanted to be a part of an organization that truly cares about the kids. Meanwhile, Josh desired to be matched with someone who would help him step out of his shell and serve as a role model.
On their first outing together, the pair visited Dave & Buster's where laughs abounded as Josh beat Dalton in air hockey. They both really love video games and wanted to bond over something that they both enjoy. The two entertained themselves for about an hour and a half before sitting down and grabbing a bite to eat.
While this is the genesis of their match, Dalton's long-term goal is to help ignite the potential that exists within Josh. With the help of arcade games and easy laughs, it seems they are well on their way to forming a lasting bond.
